-Can your organization be considered as a journal/book publisher or rather a digest?

Our website is not a journal, nor is it indexed by PubMed. It is much like a digest. Briefly, the aim of our  website is to present your published paper’s additional and unpublished texts and figures in plain language so that your novel findings and significance will be better understood, recognized and appreciated.

-What is the added value for an author to publish on your website apart from an increased visibility as explained in your “about” section?

We disabled the “comment” option for all the posts due to the spam concern. Unfortunately, there is no discussion function available now. Therefore, our current goal is to increase the visibility. Obviously, it is advantageous to you if your research can reach a larger audience. We have more than 11,000 visits per month now, and we have been trying to increase that number.

-Why is there an additional cost since the article/abstract doesn’t seem to be reprocessed?

We charge some processing fees since we are not, like Pubmed, government-supported. The hosting and domain for our website, the advertising, and our editors’ labor are not free. Nonetheless, we have waived some of the processing fee if the authors had no funding.

-Is there a new “peer-review” process for the articles that are selected and that will be published in one section of your next issue?

We don’t have a new peer review since the papers have already been published. However, we do use selection criteria, such as the journals’ impact factors, the popularity of the topics, and the potential for further applications. Usually, the top 10-30% of papers will be selected.
